Designed with community in mind

Access Plus Capital is excited to launch a series of Green Initiatives ranging from internal environmental and sustainability efforts to launching green loans focusing on energy efficiency, solar, and electric vehicle adoptiom. The need for sustainable action is evident across Access Plus Capital’s service area which includes some of the most polluted metropolitan areas in the entire country in terms of ozone and particulate matter.

On the ground, the effects of environmental injustices are concentrated in BIPOC communities. Sustainability in small business lending is one measure that APC can implement to support the widespread adoption of energy efficient solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and offer numerous benefits to business owners.

Launching late Quarter 3, an Energy Efficiency loan is designed for small business owners to make tenant improvements that are energy efficient. Upgrades include refrigeration, HVAC, LED lighting, and more. With incentives like reduced utility bills, long term cost savings, and tax credits, businesses should consider adopting sustainable measures that can save them money in the long run. APC will soon offer specialized loan products that support solar and electric vehicle adoption for small businesses.

Access Plus Capital is intensifying its sustainability initiatives to become a leader in green technology adoption. Several eco-friendly projects are underway, including installing a solar parking canopy to power the headquarters and provide shade in the parking lot, adopting electric vehicles for company use, and installing an EV charger in the parking lot for employee and client use.

What comes next?

In addition to the Energy Efficiency Green Loan, Access Plus Capital is planning to launch a new loan product to finance electric vehicles and electric vehicle charging. Electric Vehicle infrastructure has a great capacity to reduce harmful emissions of greenhouse gases and particulate matter that pose a threat to our underserved communities.

Businesses that require a vehicle to continuously market in their communities, arrive to sites for clients, or ship goods to consumers across the state can benefit from adding an electric vehicle to their fleet. Whether an electric sedan meets your needs to an electric freight truck, APC will soon finance electric additions to your fleet.

Businesses with ample on-site parking can also benefit from offering electric vehicle charging. As EV infrastructure grows, so does the need for charging stations. Adding a charging station to your business site may offer additional traffic to your business as clients charge and can also be used generate other revenue, such as ad revenue.

APC is still working towards launching a specialized loan product to support vehicle electrification infrastructure for your business. As APC strategizes the development of Green loan programs, feel free to read our sustainability blogs and keep an eye out for the launch of our Green Loans throughout 2024 and beyond.
